Takako's Journey

Takako began her study of the Koto at age six. She studied under the famous Koto Grand Master Shizu Fujino from Ikuta Ryu Miyagi school. From an early age, she also began performing in public.

From an early age, Takako has performed in number of concerts. Often, she was one of the youngest performers.
Takako has started her Shamisen career in 1990 and granted her assistant teaching license in 1995.

Award of Teaching license

In 2000, Takako got her teaching license from the Miyagi school of Tokyo. She passed both her Koto and Shamisen exams, scoring an impressive mark.
 

Takako's first time visiting Australia was as an exchange Japanese teacher. She has performed for various schools in NSW and ACT. She also has performed at various venues in the Newcastle area.
