Private Koto Lessons

Takako offers private koto lessons. A lesson usually goes from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. Each student will receive a personalised lesson plan which suits their individual goals.All you need to start are koto picks and your time. A starter kit of koto picks is available for purchase from Takako.

School Program

Would your students be interested in learning more about Japanese culture? Takako can provide a koto learning experience as a licensed koto teacher and registered high school teacher. The lesson can include a history of koto music, Japanese language used in koto music and the culture of the kimono as a costume for playing the koto. Students can also enjoy having an experience to touch and play a real koto. (depending on a class size) Please send an email for more information. Bri

Performances

Takako performs at both public and private events. The performance style can be arranged to suit your next special event. She can provide a koto workshop, background/dinner music or a formal concert. The programme may feature either a solo Koto performance or a duet with another instrument such as Shakuhachi. Takako can provide contemporary and/or traditional music.Performancesors.
