  1. I was having a lot of difficulty finding a long-term koto teacher in the UK, so online lessons with Takako san are a godsend! We have only had our introductory lesson so far, but I’ve learned more in 1hr with her than I have in weeks, and sometimes months, with other teachers. I highly recommend her lessons. Thank you Takako san!

  2. Takako Sensei is a great teacher. She’s super encouraging, loves to push you to try new styles and learn new skills and techniques, and she does lots to mitigate the limitations of lessons over zoom. I have learnt so much just in the last few months of lessons. Highly recommend!

I was a bit nervous at first as I have visual and hearing disabilities, but Takako Sensei tailors each lesson to suit my level and her explanations are really easy to understand. With Zoom, Takako can see & correct your technique. Also, you can just stop and ask questions if you don’t understand something. Learning online has been fun and I am so happy to have such a highly qualified and patient teacher. I feel great playing my koto again after many years. Arigato Takako Sensei.
